At the beginning of Creation, God spoke the world into being. What was once nothing became, at His word, day and night, land and water.
Then starting on the third day, He did something a little different.
After speaking forth dry land from nothing, He instructed the earth to "sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, each according to its kind, on the earth" (Genesis 1:11).
He instructed the land to bear fruit.
He continued this pattern throughout the rest of the seven day creation, ending with the creation of man and woman whom He instructed to "be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over" everything He had made (Genesis 1:28).
Within each of God's creation lies a seed which when tended will propagate itself and bring forth fruit.
As women we were created to give life.
This is the essence of who we are as women: life-givers.
And within the context of God's intended design for everything He creates, we are called to bear fruit.
And it is through the power of the Holy Spirit, who was "hovering over the face of the waters" at the beginning of creation that will bring about a fruit-bearing response in us (Genesis 1:2).
What does it mean to bear fruit?
That is what you will answer through this 21-day Bible reading plan.
We have compiled 21 verses that focus on who God is, what He has accomplished through Christ, and what He wants to do through you to bear fruit for the work of the kingdom.
Like the old, the new creation must be brought forth by the Word of God and sustained and made fruitful by the working of the Holy Spirit within you.
I CANNOT WAIT FOR YOU TO DIVE INTO THIS TOPICAL BIBLE READING PLAN ON BEARING FRUIT.
