Trust.

Such a simple word, but such an important part of any relationship.

We all long to have someone we can trust, count on, and simply know that “this person” is in our corner.

However, in a broken and fallen world, trust is not something we do easily.

Cynicism is constantly knocking at the door of my heart, ransacking my thoughts and toying with my emotions.

And as I battle against the onslaught of what this world has to offer, I too often feel more beat down than built up, and without knowing it, this exhaustion of the mind trickles into my thoughts and beliefs about God.

Is He really trustworthy?

Is He really for me?

Is He really faithful?

Can you relate?

Are you struggling to trust the Lord?

Then I have good news for the both of us (yes! I'm right here with you in the struggle).

With the help of my team here at IBG, I’ve created a Bible reading plan all about TRUST.

This Bible reading plan focuses on the word trust as a verb. Trust is an action, something we choose to do.

As you soak in the presence of Jesus through His word, you have an opportunity to allow the Word to renew your mind as you move from a state of “being” into an active state of trust.

Choosing to trust in His promises is the faith that pleases Him. But it starts with a renewal of our minds, and there is no better way to renew our minds than in the Word of God.

At times in this Bible reading plan the word "believe" should be substituted as trust. When believe is an action, it is similar in meaning to trust. Therefore, there are a couple of days that the word trust will not be there, but "believe" will be.

This Bible reading plan begins with why trust matters and it ends with how Jesus is the fulfillment of God's faithfulness and the One we put our trust in. 

What does it mean to actively trust or believe?

That is what you will answer through this 21-day Bible reading plan.

As we soak in the presence of Jesus through His word, we must move from a state of being into an active state of trust. Choosing to trust in His promises is the faith that pleases Him.
